1. This morning Bella (the cat) decided to attack me with all four sets of claws as well as her teeth.
2. About to go out with Milo to do our jobs when he threw up all over us both. Despite washes and complete changes of clothes and undies the smell of vomit seemed to linger all day.
3. Driving back from the city after delivering Mitch's suit jacket to him at the office a kamikaze driver nearly caused us to have a serious accident.
4. Stubbed my middle toe and now it's all swollen and bloody.
5. Bent back my thumb nail blowing up the paddling pool for Lara & Milo to play in. Thumb purple under the nail at the top.
6. Had to call an ambulance for Mitch when he fell unconscious face down into his dinner. Turns out it was a case of man-itis: scoffed hot dinner too fast, being a man he didn't just spit it out, then being a man he couldn't take the hot pain travelling towards his tummy so decided to pass out. The drama didn't last long and he seems okay now. Looking back now after a glass of wine & feeling calmer about the whole thing, I wish I'd got a photograph :o)
I think you don't know how you'll react until that sort of thing happens, but now I can look back and see what I'd do better next time. I've been thinking since Milo was born that maybe I'd do a First Aid course - I think it would be a good idea as it I don't want to feel helpless in an emergency situation again.
On the plus side Milo had a lovely time playing with Lara today, he really enjoys the company of other toddlers.
